  • Dove, Hahaaaa! Not guilty! I like antique furniture, anyway, so much better built and I love things with a story to tell. I'm a big antique market moocher...

    Morning all.

Been very busy lately. Perhaps busier than the knee would like, but hey ho.

Had a ( mostly) lovely visit from Lyn yesterday. Nice to see her back on form and enthusiastic for the future.

    Dove, hugs for tomorrow.

Sorry , I'm not up to speed so hugs for those who need them.

Punkdoc. Nice to see you too.

    Morning all.

Best wishes to Dove for Ma's funeral tomorrow. Hugs for Joyce.

"Hello Forkers" is no longer on my followed threads. Wonder why? But I am now getting email notifications for the "Have you done any Gardening today" thread, no others though.

Going to Post Office to post tax return. Thank God it's done. Every year they change the forms and I have to fill in two, pink for English pension and blue for French. French tax is never deducted at source so everyone has to fill in the forms and pay tax bills.

Must sort out the strawberry bed today. It's full of bindwind that must have grown in from the paddock over winter. I'll probably have to give it up, like the asparagus bed.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Warm and sunny, so in a good mood.

Planting out today, desperately need more room in the greenhouse, OH getting fed up that all the window sills are still full.

    Morning All,

Just back from teaching, my first private lesson for which I get paid with real money - not just a voluntary job - hurrah. imageimage

At 2pm I am also on waitress duty at the local chateau, it's a wedding and I will probably be there until after midnight, but again real money. image Funnily enough the guests that are staying here are the official photographers so I am hoping they won't be wanting an early breakfast as I think I might struggle if they do. image

Just think how many wonderful plants I could buy with all that dosh, but steady away, I need to be sensible about it. image

Anyway, good day to all. image

Punkdoc, I hope you get all your planting done.

Dove and WW, will be thinking about you tomorrow, I hope it goes well.

Joyce, hope you OH is getting on the mend too. Thank goodness for good friends, real and virtual. image

    Afternoon all,

Have had a bit of a frantic few days.  On Saturday eldest grandaughter (8) fell in the garden and broke her elbow, she managed to break part of the bone off and has had to have an operation to wire it back into place.  She's now in one of those really oldfashioned heavy plasters all the way up her arm.  I've been staying at Firstborn's to look after her.  She has to stay in it for a couple of weeks and then they will replace it with a lovely purple lightweight cast.

Hope everyone is OK, haven't had time to read back.  Picked up that it's Dove's Ma's funeral tomorrow.  Hope it goes OK and that you and Wonky are OK.
