I received this e-mail today, still doesn't explain why this is happening.

    From Subscribers office

Thank you for your email regarding BBC Gardeners World magazine.

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding the inconvenience caused.

Upon checking the subscription details I can confirm that we have previous requested that all your issues are delivered by Royal Mail and not our Hand Delivery service.

As you as still experiencing problems with your delivery I can confirm that I have requested this again immediately.

I can confirm that I have ordered a replacement of the June issue for you, we kindly ask that you allow 5-7 days for this.

Due to the problems you have continued to experience I have extended your subscription by 1 issue to compensate you for this.

Once again please accept my apologies and if I can be of any further assistance please contact me.

    Kind Regards

I contacted the subscription office to tell them I had not received my June copy, but have not had the courtesy of a reply.

Hello floralies, you will be contacted directly by the subscriptions team. Very sorry that you haven't received your June issue yet.

I believe there's an issue with the 'hand delivery' service, which is causing delays. Those who have complained have had their service switched to Royal Mail.

If anyone else is affected by this, please contact the subscriptions team on 01795 414741, or email: [email protected]

My experience over the past few months has been the same as those described above.  When I phoned the subs people after non delivery last month I was told it would be reverted to Royal Mail.  When the June copy didn't arrive I contacted them again, to be told it would revert to Royal Mail from July!!

I'll wait to see what happens with the July copy.

I should add that we returned from holiday yesterday to discover the hand delivered copy on the door mat.  That means it was delivered some time after 2nd June, which is when we went away.

My June Copy arrive in the post today. Hope the July copy isn't delivered this late if it is I'll be cancelling my subscription and request a refund for copies already paid for. , Given them enough chances to get it sorted.

  • I've had problems too, mine was with the May edition. I get 2 copies each month, the other subscription is paid for by my Daughter. I contacted them and had replacements sent and they were delivered by a courier. June's edition arrived as normal. Seems there are a few of us having problems. Fingers crossed it's all ok now.

Eureka!!!!!!!!  Subscription copy arrived today - via Royal Mail.  I don't know about other areas, but delivery by courier clearly doesn't work where I live.

I don't subscribe but I follow, with interest, your tribulations. Last night when I saw this thread come up again I thought "Oh no. Now what?" I laughed when I opened it and it was good news.

Good old Royal Mail. I've come to the stage that if it's "courier delivery" I either give it a miss or contact the vendor to arrange RM delivery and pay any difference. It saves my time and my money rounding up errant deliveries from all over the county! image

    Happy Days!
