    How odd though, does this happen to all your seeds and not just the Runner Beans?

    Do you live near something that the majority of us don't live near? Electrical Sub Station, Mobile Phone Mast, Overhead Electrical Cables and so on!!!

    I plant my seed with the root groove facing down they come quicker that way rather than being flat or the other way round they will come but takes longer.

    I just bung them in root trainers, any way they land. Push in for an inch, walk away. I will be doing them this weekend.
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Have to agree Lyn been growing them for years never had a problem.Absolute tosh about what way to sow them.
