Of course you get a say Darren - we're talking principles here.
It's interesting that so many of the comments actually acknowledge that the BBC might feel they have to show certain events whenever they occur. But nearly everybody has also said they don't mind too much if GW is rescheduled - just don't cancel it altogether. We're a very reasonable bunch of people aren't we?
Slightly off topic here and I've said it before but - if the BBC needs to fill some slots with cheap programmes - why oh why can they not repeat some of the old GW's? I would love to see some of the Geoff Hamilton / AT programmes again - there must be a slot available on Sunday morning / the early hours of Tuesday or whatever other dead time there is on TV.
Ideas and varieties may change and plants move in and out of fashion but the basics of gardening (especially as Geoff was organic from early on) remain unchanged. I loved his cheap and cheerful ideas for garden supports / containers etc.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
we haven't even got to Wimbledon or the Olympics yet.
My understanding is, GW is recorded 7 days before broadcast, ( it certainly used to be the case ) so I don't think anything is "Binned" but I fail to see why GW is the primary candidate for cancelling.
Does anyone have any viewing figures for the women's footy to compare with average GW audiences?

This morning in the DT! Done here too, however there was a repeat on Sat. on BBC2 at 5.30 pm.
