    Thanks Lyn, shall I just plant them out? I've got delphiniums in tubs now cos the slugs just keep massacring them in the borders.

  • I divided and replanted some Japanese anemones. The slugs thought Christmas had arrived! Fortunately they seem to be shooting again. I am loath to put any slug pellets down as there is a birds nest above, might buy some oyster shell.
  • I was convinced mine had died (both times) then after two years it suddenly started popping up and flowering. 

    Sally, I have just been reading on the RHS website that the new slug pellets with iron phosphate in do not harm birds...might be worth checking out.

    I have a resident thrush so this seems to help a lot.
