That comment is an outrage Tetley.

Gang rape is carried out by a few sick people, of any race or nationality. Trying to link it, somehow, to whether we should leave the EU, is the tactics of UKIP.

But what has any of that got to do with the EU? Mass migration is a global phenomenon. Or is the influx of Mexicans into the US the fault of the EU too?

    I am gobsmacked.

I cannot believe that, firstly you think rape is a problem due to the presence of immigrants, and secondly, that you think leaving the EU would stop this problem.

Rampant xenophobia, lets pull up the drawbridge, and have nothing to do with those foreigners.

I have re read my post, and feel that it clearly does relate to Tetley's post.

He is saying that immigrants are the cause of gang rape, and that is a reason to leave the EU.

The tone of your post is yet again very derogatory, please do not insult my intelligence. I disagree with you, that does not make me wrong. I think you are wrong, but I will not  call you stupid.

Immigration will not be stopped by leaving the EU, and even if it was, we would then find we were in a situation where we could not run any of our public services. The NHS, in particular, is almost totally reliant on employing foreign workers, due to our inability to train enough of our own.

    Tetley wrote (see)

....... It seems that Juncker is ignoring the Dutch referendum, because he promised the Ukrainian president that their visa free travel will go ahead-- in spite of that vote being a 61% NO.  ...

    61% of a 32% turnout - approximately 19 people in every 100 -  hardly an overwhelming mandate.

Tetley, I don't for a moment deny that there has been a problem with some of the recent immigrants in Germany.

my problem is, firstly the implication that all immigrants cause these problems, and, more importantly, how leaving the EU, will stop this problem.

You may well be right that some of our NHS staff are choosing to go to Aus / NZ, but that does not affect the issue, that we cannot staff the service, without EU workers. The same also applies to many other services, industries and to agriculture.
