Hostafan, yep. It's the same in photography and is the only thing that's stopping me from striking out on my own in that line. (That, and the fact that I have zero business knowledge. And fear, I suppose. Luvmegarden, don't take me as an example!)

Do let us know how you get on, Luvmegarden, we are rooting for you! Just don't let it stress you further, thinking you "have to" do something or other because people expect you to. We're not expecting you to do anything, we're just keeping our fingers crossed for you whatever you decide. image

  • Right you lovely lot! I've found a short afternoon session on growing your own own veg... it's at a place called Gardening Needs. They help people with mental health problems and have volunteers. I'm going to have a sneeky peek whilst I'm there to see if I could volunteer one afternoon per week. the WRAG thing sounds ace; definitely going to look into that and have also found this website: http://www.gardeningwomen.com/ lots of research ahead image Went to my local Garden Centre to check out what it might be like to work there and was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the staff were female and the same age as me! Next time I'll do a bit more digging (har har!) Spent the afternoon with my grandson planting runner beans and nasturtiums... "Grandma; you should do this for a job" he said "you're good at it" ..."Yes Ryan" I said with the biggest grin ever ... "and you love it so much too" He said... I'm not superstitious AT ALL but there must be something to it when an 8 year old comes up with a cracker like that right out of the blue! (Wellin' up image

You must live a lovely warm part of the country to be able to plant runner beans now, mine won't go in until start of May.

Good luck in your new venture
