Funny how many of us describer our gardens as windy.

My Google realised it was incorrectly spelt!

Lyn, I had your address, but I seem to have lost it. I've moved you to NW Dartmoor, but if it's not right and you would like it moved let me know.

Thanks Lizzie, I'll send you the google map link and you could move it for me, x

Just outside Newcastle Upon Tyne only 10 miles from the coast and a short drive to the beautiful Northumberland tempi entail weather though

I live here on the far outskirts of Seaford. 5 minutes from the sea with Friston forest and the South Downs on my doorstep. Brighton 15 miles down the road so it's not too isolated. Fairly mild weather. We moved here 12 years ago to escape the horror of our over busy but not gratifying life for a simpler way of life and have never regretted it. I'm from Wales and hubbie is from Yorkshire so it's a kind of compromise image

Lyn, I moved your marker on the map near the village you told me.

Lou, that view is familiar. OH had a flat in Eastbourne until February. Now moved to Norfolk. But we live in France most of the time.

Rossendale - East Lancashire, 15 mile away from Manchester and a couple miles away from west Yorkshire.

Quite cold, expect frost up to late May. About 800 feet up so windy at times, the largest and the third largest onshore wind farms in England are very close by.

The biggest problem is the rain, its just wet and dull most of the time.

Garden soil is neutral, heavy soil and clay in back garden average / small size, loam in the front garden very small.

Very country. Soil is silt/peat. Very windy garden. Frost pocket. Half the national average of rain (except this year). Fast draining very rich soil. (ex outdoor reared pig farm.

Been a garden or sorts since the 1640's.
