Can anyone tell me what the programme was about - I only remember laughing at the antics of Nigel and Nelly image

It still is, it must be good, there's about six threads opened on it in the past few days.image

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

I'm afraid I dozed off in the middle, but there was visit to a nursery to look at small trees with Joe Swift and Carol visited a garden full of spring flowers, like cyclamen coum, on the side of a Welsh mountain. I find Monty's voice quite soporific!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

That mountain slope covered with naturalised spring flowers was absolutely enchanting image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    It was lovely.

  • Personally, I would prefer to watch dogs at cruffs.

Lyn, how many of the six threads are about gardening? Mostly about dogs.

Yes, that's how I want my garden - and house, come to think of it.

The Salutation was indeed breathtaking. By comparison to the heartbreaking situation with the flood.

Shame Steph and Dom didn't make an appearance.

I was looking forward to that part but should have known better as Joe Swift was involved!  Silver birch ideal for a small garden! RHS indicates 40' high with 25' spread in time, plus to Joe a small garden is nearly 50 ft by 50 ft.  How many modern gardens are anything like that size?
