  • This is becoming very frustrating.

Need to trim some overgrown bushes, but can't because of frosty nights.

Need to cut the grass, but can't because it's frosty.

Need to plant out lots of lovely plants I've gathered over the winter, but can't because.. have a guess.

All I may do is stare at the garden some more.

    That's spring for you image

We've got snow at the moment, proper snow, big flakes - looks like a Christmas card out there image

Jake has definitely been here today. Downpours and big gusts of wind.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Well I had 2 hours of heavy rain, then 15 mins of hail, then more rain, then lovely sunshine and it's been gorgeous all afternoon!  I've pruned some cornus and planted hellebores.  Takes more than Jake to stop me.  I did look a bit of a sight this morning thoughimage

No sign of anything unusual for the time of year, several snow flurries and some sleet, windy, but 'not windy' is more remarkable here. The wind is cold, from the North and the birds are eating like gannets, had to fill the feeders twice today!

Currently white over, but my weather forecast site has revised its estimates of tomorrow night's snowfall down, from over 30cms to under 20. Still a nuisance if it blows, but perhaps they'll revise it down again. Don't much care, went out like a good boy scout and got in all necessary supplies, so now I don't have to shop or go out again until next weekimage Drifting snow here can mean it is impossible to get out at all, or just impossible to get a vehicle down to the house. Have had to bring the weekly shop in by sledge more than once beforeimage
