Hi all. Yes I enjoyed Vera, as usual, thanks. The gardening program was the first for the season, so it was OK. I'm advised to,get my broccoli seedlings in early before the weather turns cold. They have to be joking, don't they. We'Ve had 30 degrees plus all week and still predicted for more until at least Wednesday. I must admit that my saved Broccolini seeds haven't been planted in punnets yet, so perhaps I'd better get a wriggle on. I'm still picking loads of tomatoes, beans, zucchinis, etc. so I'll have to organise a spot in the veggie beds soon, I suppose.

    Morning all.

I always want to phone my mother on Mother's Day but she isn't here any more. I talk to here in my mind. I am making posies for mothers at church tomorrow. I have daffodils, catkins and the cowslips are coming out around the edges of the paddock. Dog and I were looking for cowslips this morning, but I wasn't really expecting to find any this early.

Glad you are feeling a bit more positive Chicky. Flowers help, don't they? But funny how things are in the eye of the beholder. I think dog thought I was mad being delighted by cowslips this morning. He doesn't notice flowers or their perfume, but he loves unpleasant smells!

    Morning all.

Special hello to Chicky & LillyP and families - hope all turns out ok for both of you.

Hello and welcome to Jacqui - always nice to see new faces image

Can't believe BL has cowslips already - my garden is still very much in hibernation mode - snowdrops, crocus, hellebores and some winter flowering shrubs - but nothing else. I'm sure it's all just around the corner though image Ordered a load of seeds yesterday for sowing when we come back from hols.

Bit of a lay in this morning - but it's Saturday, it's been sleeting and raining and there is only hwrk and bookwork to look forward to - so I think it's allowed.

Going to have a big cookup and make tagine and spagi bol for the freezer this morning and try to finish cleaning the house. Will probably watch GW in front of the fire with tea and cake this afternoon image

    Have a good one folks!

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
