Should I accept this?

Me again!

I was very excited to get my three blueberries today from Suttons.

Although the other two seem fine and healthy, I'm not sure what to make of the Pink Lemonade... Is it's condition an indication of future problems? Should I contact Suttons? They weren't cheap.

  • ...or will it be OK with a bit of TLC? Am I being fussy?

    Cheers

I'm just wondering how it has leaves at this time of year :P

Mine is completely naked, Blueberries are deciduous and you should see lots of new fat buds waiting to burst out in Spring

  • The other two are pretty bare with buds, I wondered if this was last year's growth that just hasn't fallen yet, which would explain why it looks so woebegone!

I think you hit the nail on the head Sparkles. If it was me I would remove this old foliage to give the plant a break.

  • Cheers guys.

Don't think it was me with the Hellebores Verdun, although I am plotting to get some, I love them!

  • Mine arrived in a similar state but with fewer leaves from thompson & morgan (I think). Probably the same original supplier as it was the same pot/packaging. I just put it down to being so late (or early) in the year./old leaves don't always look the best. I was not expecting much but got mine with some tesco vouchers. Figured it would be smaller and much more battered than anything bough locally but I cant resist something different.

Only had good plants from crocus and independent plant places by internet order. The others seem to recover and start growing eventually.
