How lovely that you feel that way Steve.  It can be hard to deal with when others are full of the joys.

I'll be thinking of you on Sunday along with all the other lovely people here who are in the same situation. Big hugs from me too - and some of these...xxx

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Steve I know you see this as fun so I will post more nonsense x

I've finally decided on my guest as much as I love Anthony Hopkins voice and David Tennant's looks it will have to be :

Patrick Stewart image I hope he will wear his Jean Luc Picard unbuttoned silk shirt  image     If not I'm happy to just listen to his voice, he can even talk about rugby image He is a Yorkshireman so hopefully he will be able to understand me..even after a few glasses of bubbly image Tooth pick will be in my handbag as I fancy medium rare steak for my main course.

Having that in real life on Sunday ..steak not Patrick image

  • Thank you all for you kind words and thoughts. Its was never my intention to bring this up on this blog. But when I started thinking who I would really want at a valentine meal for 2, then it's was natural and heartfelt to respond it that way.

Please always remember to say those 3 words to the one that you love because I did and always will

    Thanking you again

Steve, you are a beautiful spirited person and I'm sure you have some of the most treasured memories of your dear wife. I consider myself truly blessed for finding my best friend and love of my life in my husband. I can not possibly consider a world  without him! We have been together sixteen years and I wouldn't change a thing!

However, he's not the most romantic fella so I figured he would forget to turn up for the meal anyhoo! image so with this in mind, I opted for a backup just to save face in the restaurant you understand image

  • Wonky - your hub would turn up ... you know he would ... even if his mother in law had to remind him image

While I'm on the subject ........... can I change my mind about my dinner companion?

I'm having Eddie Izzard image  How could I have thought of anyone else?  i

Thanks for them words . I am a romantic and my wife was a more realistic person. I love gardening, she loved to see a lovely garden. She was a generous person who loved life and life loved her. But she was the strenght in our relationship . I am a very fortunate man in that I had that time with someone I loved so much  I have a close family who are always there for me and I am thankful for that. But like  everthing in life, things change and time should heal just like my garden in early spring.
