That's a lovely picture Sheps - the detail on the Kestrel is so clear - they are lovely birds - often one frequents our owl box - but only when the owl isn't in residence.
Fantastic Sheps. The detail is stunning. Birds of prey are so magnificent, whether it's the smaller falcons or an eagle.
Ppauper - Glencoe is so full of history that it's hard to ignore that even on a sunny day. It's possibly at it's finest on a dark, stormy day though - full of foreboding! Many people do find it quite a scary place. It's understandable - and partly because the road cuts right through so many of the mountains.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi folks - just a trial to see if I can post a photo from my phone. It seems I can... this is a Scottish Early Purple orchid, photographed in a spare moment during last week's trip to repair our cottage's water system.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
That is seriously weird Liri! Do you have any idea what it is?
That was taken en route to Ben Bhuidhe (Glen Fyne) last July. The moorland bits of lots of the hills are covered in them in summer. White ones as well. They're so pretty, and it's nice to spend a bit of time just sitting looking at them

Now I've found it works, here's something I found in the park in February or March.
Love that spotted orchid, Fairy!
