can you tell me what this plant is
Hi.
Can anybody please tell me what this plant is called and if it is a perennial.
I purchased some seeds from a supplyier howevery not one of the seeds germinated.I used some reclaimed gravel from the brushing ups from a carpark and used this to sprinkle onto the seed pot.Ithink that it is more than likely to of come from there.I have gont through all of my gardening books but cannot find this plant.
I would be very greatful if someone knows what it is and can tell me.Please see the photos provided.

Looks a bit like silene jack flash. or even Lychnis x arkwrightii vesuvius.
What did you plant?
Dave - No idea what it is but it's lovely!!
it really is beautifull and strange as it is growing each flower head carries five flowers and it has lots of buds forming.I have no idea how big it will grow or anything.
Originally i planted some Actaea pachypoda which look like white berries growing on a red stalk. However is looks absolutely nothing like what i have grown. The seed was purchased from a uk supplier.
If anybody does know please contact me.
i'm still convinced it's lychnis x arkwrightii.
it's certyainly not any of the actaeas which are usually pictured in berry as their flowers are pretty insignificant

I quite like the lunchbox poppy. I thought Vesuvius has dark leaves but I haven't grown it for years so maybe not.

I agree with nut. Vesuvius should have dark leaves. So lychnis x arkwrightii it is then.
