Is it the yellow Pom Pom one, (can't think of its name off hand) but it flowers on last years wood, so you don't prune that one in the Spring, or you cut all potential flower growth off, or am I muddling up here?

I normally cut mine down around October

We cut ours down by half in the autumn, but was going to chop a bit more off come March - is that the right thing to do?
