    Right - I shall have to keep my eyes open for a H. niger and see if it likes this garden image

    I bought a couple of Hellebore niger last week and they're currently getting some shelter in the little plastic growhouse till they get hardened off a bit. Hopefully they'll do well enough here. I have a couple of small gaps where I think they'll be nice image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    H. ericsmithii is 

    "... A garden hybrid between H. niger x H. x sternii, formerly known as "H. x nigristern", which is itself a hybrid between H. argutifolius and H. lividus..."
