    It has been a mild winter - I've got all sorts of tender plants happy and growing after a winter in the mini greenhouse or even in a quiet corner on the terrace.

    They wouldn't have survived the winter temperatures we get in most winters.

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I agree, I live on the coast in Hythe, and it has been a remarkably mild winter. I do remember snow in June............
