Fairy, I saw 'Rebecca' at Chelsea, where I thought it was dark red; took its photo, and it definitely looks scarlet. Might just have to try it and see...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
My first garden pictures on this thread. Hope you'll like them!

Background: Choisya ternata & Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin'.
East mixed border, view to the North-West view, 2/7/2016.
From left to right. Background (blurred!) mixture of Gaura lindheimeri 'Rosyjane' and Nemesia denticulata 'Confetti'; foreground: Ligularia stenocephala 'The Rocket'. Foreground right: Lavatera x clementii 'Barnsley'.
Yes, that Hydrangea serrata 'Kurenai' displays stunning colors, which change almost daily so you have to visit it regularly not to miss any stage!
Oops! On photo "East mixed border, view to the North-West view, 2/7/2016" I forgot to mention the yellow flowers of Alchemilla mollis (blurred) on the left, middle ground.

Lovely mixed borders, Papi Jo - and so helpful to have the plants named! Thank you.
That hydrangea is stunning.
Thanks for your appreciation, Liriodendron.

Beautiful, Papi Jo. Lots of colour.
Really beautiful pix Papi Jo, and a superbly laid out border in that first one
You've clearly spent a lot of time and effort creating your garden.
I remember now that you said you were going on holiday Flumpy
Hope you had a good time, and your Dad is ok. We're all fine here thanks
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

One of my favourite plants in this, or any of the other gardens I've had
