His success validated the life of every teenager who felt that they didn't fit in; that they didn't belong; and moved this country a long way along the path to being the tolerant and accepting place that it has become

I found out this morning that David was privately cremated in New York just two days after his death. There was no funeral and no family or friends were present.. Bizarre as he was in life.. Maybe he will be on the next shuttle to the space station after all..
