What lovely colours. Your blues and yellows are beautiful, Chicky. Rudbeckias are much better than mine.

My Lady Emma Hamilton is in a pot on the terrace. I bought 3 pots in the GC sale. Must get another orangey rose to go with her. Anyone have Pat Austin? Or can recommend another? I have Rosa Complicata for the 3rd pot, but it's in a different place on the terrace.

No orangey roses here yet, as I can't work out what to grow with them, but every year I fall in love with one called "summer song" on the David Austen stands at Chelsea and HC.

A friend has Summer Song because it looked so lovely, but it hasn't done as well as she hoped. I think blue, like catmint or lavender would go well with orange.

Thanks all image.  Vicky - I'm a gladioli convert - already planning some bright red ones for another spot in the garden next year.  Will have to change my avatar to Dame Ednaimage

But have you got the glasses to be Dame Edna chicky ?  I expect Elton might have a few pairs going...image

How about a deep purple to go with the orangey roses ladies? BL - you have clematis Etoile Violette don't you? I think that sort of colour is great with orange.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
