I couldn't get to Harlow Carr but have photos as some of my good friends did.  I met up with them and others at Chelsea and Tatton shows and another at Malvern.  Still chat daily with 4 of them by email.

Many of the old posters moved to different boards or started their own boards or blogs when the Beeb announced impending closure but I like it here - good mix of experience and friendliness on the whole so easy to dip in and out.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

  • Another ex-Beeb with same name here.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Many previous members are distributed between various breakaway boards, usually set-up following discontent of one form or another.

The first being 'Allotments 4 All'     www.allotments4all.co.uk/

Then, 'The Alternative Potting Shed' http://thepottingshed.proboards.com/

    Next,  'Gardeners World Discussions'         http://gardenworld.proboards.com/

Then came the no longer operating 'Friendly Gardens'.

Of course ( the never to be forgotten)  'Fork Handles'.

I like "Fork Handles" as well as here, it's small and intimate, so you can play games and get to know each other.
