No cats anymore but they used to be rather interested in the lower decorations. was always a challenge!
Bought our annual decoration this weekend. Many are home made but one new one each year. Was a rather pretty crafted mouse from a National Trust shop. Did think it was a hedgehog when I bought it though!
Not my baubles but my knitting - have been doing it for weeks ready for the school fair last Friday and am happy to report they all got sold. Each knitted Santa/snowman or stocking had a little chocolate surprise in them, the kids loved them.

I usually put mine up just in time for OH's birthday (21st) but, as we're away next week, I shall be doing it tomorrow.
It is all rather minimalist - took about 10 years to convince OH that decorations should consist of more than lining up a few Christmas cards . (Actually - 28 years on and I'm not sure he's entirely convinced.. )
Got the decorations down from the attic last night - along with a zillion cluster flies - yuk yuk yukkity yuk . Obviously forgot to turn on the fly zapper in October when they start finding their way back in . A bit of bat poo too... Lovely
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I was very impressed with them myself thank you Topbird, lovely easy pattern and plenty of room for imagination, for some of the snowmen I found a way to make flowers to sew on the hats using a fork and some strands of wool - so I had some lovely Mr & Mrs Snowmen pairs.

Love the knitted decorations DD! great idea to have sweetie pockets too!
Your tree looks beautiful I had to laugh when you confessed to having a different tree for children's artistic flare! when my step daughter was young, we did it together with bauble appropriate guidance and then I rearranged the wrong ones when she went to bed! I used to have a stylish tree all white lights and bows but now I've embraced the silly colourful side of Christmas tree decorating and it makes me chuckle
No Christmas tree here yet. The dogs stocking is hanging above the MDF sheet that covers the hole where the log fire should be and my advent stockings have been put up by my other half... but HE'S NOT FILLED THEM!! Maybe it's a good job we cancelled getting married next year...

Got our main tree up today, have a smaller one in the TV room but we let our 8 year old decorate that, not really up to public scrutiny.
