This (sadly sideways) tree is our 'Perestroika' or 'Friendship' tree; gifted to our family by folk I met during an exchange town-twinning visit to Uman in the Ukraine [as it then was part of USSR] back in 1982!! It lives in a shoebox & descends from the attic once we reach the late-teens (or early twenties) of December. *Last year it was decorated by our two young granddaughters, so that will become a family 'tradition' in due course this year aswell. [btw:The fairy's name is Doris].
This is our 'main tree' (again sadly sideways). It too has a history as I 'rescued' it from an 'end-of-lease' shop clearance skip in Pembroke over 25 years ago!! It stands over 6' tall & gets redecorated each year when it emerges from its binbag shroud in the attic. *The single star goes up first of all on Advent Sunday, but the two trees follow later on in mid - late December.
Very nice effect, Frumpy: like yours, my 'main tree' divides into two for storage - but when it's bedecked & lit you can't see the join! (even in a well-lit room).

Is this better David
Our tree this year.
Not so big as usual. About 6 foot. usually have to cut bits off to get it in the house!
Thanks for the 'adjustments', Frumpy: gremlins seem to be interfering with my feeds recently!!
Your welcome
.
i found the bottom half of my xmas tree at the back of my loft, so was able to finish it off, so here it is not very clear tho

Flumpy and David, I feel my home is underdressed now only having one tree!
grewat excuse for more decorations!
loving your trees!
Pete your tree looks gorgeous! Very stylish in that natural rustic way! Can't have a real tree due to untrainable cats! But wish I could! Beautiful!
