Well....yes I am I've taken the plunge, given up a decent paying job,for something that I love and feel passionate about.at first I was scared, thinking what are you doing??? But now I'm so glad, job satisfaction, people telling me they like what I'm doing.I've being away but now I'm back.if anybody is thinking about a change then do it there's nothing to be scared of I don't regret a second of it.
That's great news Kevin - glad you're happy - hope it all goes really well for you
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well done Kevin. Changing your job's a hard decision, so I hope it continues being the success it already has
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you everyone, well I don't know about anybody else, but I've had enough of winter already. I'm itching to get my hands in the soil, and working the land,if anybody wants to pop in where I work then please feel free.just ask to see kev the gardener.
Well, I do apologise for that,no offence meant, wel im working on it now,its my winter project. Trials and tribulations, on the allotment. With humour, adversity triumph and lots of hard graft. All of my gardening experiences and gardening notes are in it.
Ok I shall share some of my gardening idea's, experiences thought's from my gardening diaries its just stuff that I write down.I did tune in to watch the good life in the eighties, loved it and that's what got me into self sufficiency. I do make a mental note of the happens on the allotment. When I first went there,I felt like Clint Eastwood, walking into a bar full of the bad guys in those spaghetti westerns quite desends, beady eyes watching my every move,...ten years on last month, nothing has changed.tune in tomorrow night for an exclusive read of the allotment diaries....
Thanks jo47 well I'm no expert,I do use my own organic compost, and I would recommend anybody to do so,and make your own leaf mould grow as much as possible from seed.write everything down good, bad that happens, dig up the lawn.I always tell people that the soil makes me feel alive, even more so in my other job,in my other life.im trying to find a publisher, who will publish my gardening journal's but no luck yet, anyway my opinion on gardening allotments and being self sufficient that's how to live the good life.
Ok thanks,I will give it a go and let you know.
