There are lots of foxes around where I take my dog for walks, and we often come across their poo. I'm very well acquainted with fox poo, because my dear little dog has found it necessary to roll in it on a couple of occasions - ugh! It smells revolting and is very'tar' like, soap and water is the only solution. It doesn't look like the poo in your picture, and I think that if an animals's hungry enough, it will eat just about anything, but I've never seen berries like that in fox poo. I'd be more likely to think it was a badger, but I'm certainly no expert. Perhaps you should send the photo to my hero Chris Packham - he'd know.
A successful propagator then my visitor, whoever it is! Wish I could afford to set up a surveillance camera.
I've heard the next door neighbour's dog barking it's head off late in the evening and dashed outside to see what's upsetting her but it's always been too dark to see anything Thanks for all your suggestions everyone, I'll let you know if I ever discover who it is.
Big Foot Buddyboy, really? No wonder the neighbour's dog barks at it. Now I just need to find out who has been leaving Chilli out for him and ask them to set up a surveiilance camera so I can see for myself.

Foxes have a sweet tooth and eat a lot of hedgerow fruit at this time of year - this will result in a more 'unformed' poo, as in the pic.

Foxes are omnivorous. They'll eat anything.
