I have 2 large horse chestnuts (Aesculus hippocastanum) on the green outside my house which I suspect might have the dreaded cancer. Does anyone know if it's advisable to use the leaves for mould, or not? It seems such a waste to just leave all those leaves in a pile on the pavement outside the house but I don't want to risk any of my plants. The trees are quite close so I feel if it was going to transfer to my garden it would anyway. I don't grow any Aesculus hippocastanum myself but not sure if the cancer affects other trees.
