motivation
The weather is mild. The ground is soft and workable. So why am I in here fiddling about on my tablet?? How do you get motivated to work in the garden this time of year? It's like tidying up the morning after a party. Guilts or inspirational comments would be appreciated and maybe even helpful.
In London. Keen but lazy.

I've got to get out there this morning - the wallflower plants arrived on Friday and must be planted - drizzle and damp or no drizzle and damp - at least they won't need a lot of watering in

Getting plants in the ground certainly motivates but unfortunately I drove right past the GC yesterday. Restraint is not all it's cracked up to be. The satisfaction is fleeting.
I take a cup of tea outside, wander around and take a cloth to dry off my seating areas. I generally find something to do when sat there
Doesn't always work though, yesterday evening I remembered I'd dug up and split some plants and then left them lying around. Seriously contemplated leaving them there until today
Surely it's more wildlife- friendly to do nothing the slugs and bugs will provide food and the buckets and stuff lying about Will provide shelter. And you shouldn't walk on clay
So are you posting from the veg patch Buddyboy? Or are you on the sofa with the rest of us?

Now now Bboy....
It's hard if the weather's cold and cloudy, easier if there's blue sky and sun which we've had a lot of recently.
Unfortunately, it's mainly been when I've been at work
My garden is quite tidy just now, and the grass won't get cut again, although the new area is a bit long, so perhaps I'll get it done today if the dew dries off. I could easily do nothing out there till spring, but I can potter at bits and pieces if the mood takes me. The bulbs have to be done though...

My thoughts exactly Dove. Would that be a size nine boot or a size 9 slipper BB?
Lightweight.....
