  • ok i bought some purple ronaldo tulips, 10, maybe have 7 in the pot

so maybe plant them and lilies asap (mulch over) and then add violas plugs to now and some ivy and add some osteospermums plugs in late spring/summer.

im not so sure on the violas

anything else?  anything for autumn and winter?

all your ideas needed for a grand year display, main is on the grand lilies and something to complement in front and some cascading

  • any further suggestions?

  • just got some cottage pinks, wondering if could also work with the pot

    hhmm

  • so been to B&Q and bought a small heather and ivy and a medium cyclamen

so ivy to side and heather other side, cyclamen in middle whiuch i believe does die down for summer

thne th etulips will come in followed by dark lilies at back

  • phase 1, half of the pot is currently blank

a small ivy, heather and cyclamen

space in middle has tulips ready to come up and at the back is 5 of the lilies planted deep

see what happens in spring and summer

Yes - leave the foliage till it dies back. I don't grow anything in with my lilies, but you might find bits and pieces in GCs etc, although I expect any annuals will have gone by now. You would have to have got some of those a few weeks ago to have ready. image

You could even look at a few herbs - thyme flowers off and on for ages over summer. Bound to be something you can pop in there  image
