I finally have 2 flowers! sowed around 75, half got eaten as I wasn't on the ball enough topping up beer traps and picking snails /slugs at night, the rest are half as tall as normal and buds only really showed last week, this is the most awful season so far for me, wet and miserable
My Cupanis have just started flowering here. Always a favourite for me, one of the original sweet peas.
Small but so perfumed.
I sowed Beaujolais again - only had a few seeds left. Unsuccessful last year, but that was down to the compost I had - far too water retentive and they rotted. Will definitely get more though
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'd say, mine are flowering about the normal time. I mainly sow direct in spring fidget. It's rarely worth while doing anything earlier because when you put them out, they just sulk in the normally cold, wet spring weather. I started them in the growhouse this year because of the building work. It was luck more than judgement that I could get mine out and growing when that was finished as the weather has been more benign.

still not opened as cloudy today, only grow them for 3 years but this is late, yes fidget, i saw some lovely sweet williams in a local organic grocers, only £4 (£42 for sweet peas!! if I only had the room to spend that much on seed!!) but still, mine are excellent this year especially the white and very pale pink are beautful ( sorry veered away from sp's but at least I have some cut flowers)
We have been in Derbyshire today. Hubby wanted to try out a new scanner, anyway we ended up at Chatsworth farm shop. They had some local grown really impressive sweet peas at £4 a bunch. Maybe I need to feed mine a bit more.
I have 4 whole stems in a vase today!the smell is so heavenly think it's worth the depression of having more than half eaten by the damn snails and slugs

Mine are very late but are just starting. Lots of buds on, but the first buds fell off with the cold weather.
There was an advert popping up earlier for sweet peas as cut flowers... I was interested until I saw they were £42 for 50 stems,
