if only I had you lots knowledge I look , prick out and nurture , 50/50 chance plantlet I want or a weed hey ho that's gardening isn't it. (I quite like some weeds anyway)
Just picked up this thread from a month ago. My osteospermums from T & M were very slow to get going and are now, very end of October, in full flower. I also picked up three pots (each with 3 plants) from the GC chucky-out bin for £1 each, and after trimming off the dead flowers they too are in full flower. I'm guessing it's a bit too late to take cuttings now?
If I bring them indoors should I cut them back (there do seem to be green shoots around the base of the stems) and then do I keep them just this side of dry, or water a bi8t more generously?
Definitely the tender ones but they are magnificent at the moment. I think they'll have to join all the other overwintering things in the unheated lobby - the pelargoniums, aeonium, lantana et al......I'm not all that formal in my gardening and always think that anything that performs well for me, or has struggled to grow in the first place, deserves a little TLC. My family just have to co-exist with the plants!

There's a thread on here called pick a flower. I picked hellebores! Dainty and fluffy and tough as old boots. Love em!
