Yes LG - most of us know why it happens and no, it's no great surprise at all - but that doesn't mean we can't all be really p*ssed off about it and say so!!!
Sod the snooker, I say.
Very well put Tootsie - but can these same experts really manage a green rectangle as large as a tennis court, you think?
Why don't they still record it and make it available on BBC iplayer, and/or screen at another time, rather than just cancel completly. Really isn't that complicated. BBC need to think outside of the box (hedge).
So, if that's the case Patty3, if there was ever only going to be so many shows, then why did Mr Don take to Twitter complaining about how the BBC shoved his programme out of the way to make way for a sports programme! If he was so well aware it was never going to be aired anyway then surely he can't protest so much.
I think he knows that he is not popular with many time served GW viewers (like me for one) and is using this to gain sympathy and support from the gardening community.

Has anyone seen Beechgrove the programme from Scotland? On BBC Scotland, if you have Sky, on Thursday evenings and on BBC 2 on Sunday mornings.
Isn't he sweet Sue- and I don't really like dogs much ...sorry everyone with dogs..
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi
what i'd like to know is, does monty still get his
(megga bucks ) when it is cancelled?
I find i am not happy these days with GW.
I dont want to spend time watching monty fill a tub to plant a bamboo.
Give me carol any day, all of her stuff is interesting, and her garden is wonderful.
At the risk of being shouted down-again- they commission so many programmes a year-that takes into account non-shows for sporting and such like events
But again it was never scheduled this week- so was not cancelled
Presenters do not get paid per show.
Has anybody actually ever complained to the BBC-or is this just one of those grumblymoanrants?

Doesn't wash with me...
