My older daughter had a talking doll when she was young. It terrified me. I think it had something wrong with the circuitry - it often made weird sounds when you walked past it, or spoke to you....

These anthropomorphic tendencies also beset my gardening making it difficult to do for unsuitable plants. I wouldn't be able to chuck it but could you construct an oubliette at the bottom of the garden?
