Does anyone know what this plant is?

in Plants

Hello,
Please could anyone help me identify this plant? Someone gave me a Salvia Turkestanica which has grown beautifully and this has grown up alongside it.
Many thanks.

Sunflowers I think.
I think it is Himalayan Balsam, v invasive weed. Has it got pink flowers?
DON"T if it is, you will never get rid of it
It's not himalayan balsam which have small flower spikes. Pretty sure it's a sunflower going by the large bud shape and leaves.
The 2nd photo has a Salvia turkestanica behind a sunflower. (The top flower)
In the sticks near Peterborough
definitely not Himalayan Balsam - I've been battling it in my garden for years
Billericay - Essex

I'm not a gardener in the proper sense of the word, God knows(!), but I have grown sun flowers many times and though I would agree that the formation of the bud is sunflower like, the shape of the leaf seems to me a little too rounded, perhaps??
I have seen, in Greece tall, wild flowers with that sunflower type bud, which are certainly not sunflowers. Might this be something similar? However, I do suspect Bob the Gardener is perfectly right and I'm utterly wrong. Again!
