  • Verdun...don't make me hurt you. Take your big wooden spoon and give yourslf a good slap and before the pain police start....yes I am advocating violence!

I too am slightly fossilised Frank and that's why I enjoy your input. I do like a man in shiny shoes! image It's all about standards. My philosophy (one of my many) is, if you wish to speak to me then feel free so to do. If you wish to speak to whomever you are texting, then go to their house! image

Strictly this year has been great and though I do agree with you that the dancing sometimes takes second place to the showbiz aspect, the fact that everyone on here has a different favourite proves that, as a concept, it's about more than that. If Ainsley Harriot danced like Gene Kelly I wouldn't have wanted him to win because he gives me the heebeegeebees! (Technical term!) The same goes for creepy Helen. If Katy had won, Star Gaze Lily would have stormed the BBC and demanded her licence fee back. image

In my "humble" opinion Georgia was technically the best dancer throughout. Did I want her to win? Not really. I thought Kellie worked her socks off and "acted" the dances better on the night. Jay won, because let's face it, who doesn't want to see a boy become a man? image It was a joy to watch. Can you imagine the stick he took from his boy band chums and now he can say na na na na na! Who won with the prettiest girl in the land!?!?

Roll on next year I say....!

I know David, explain it to a dance mad eleven year old on the phone. "G/Dad did you see strictly" yes darling, "why would the worst dance win" wellll not every one sees things from a dance point of view, " but the best dancer lost" I could hear my G/Son saying "not every thing in this world is fair" not bad for a fourteen year old. Daughter comes on, "if that had happened in the dance school exams there would be a riot and that is only the children the parents would wreck the place" listen to your son not every thing in the world is fair. Dear Hannah keep doing what you do well but do not let it take over your life or there will be disappointment ahead.

Yes there were moments of joy moments of toe curling embarrassment and  times of being over the rainbow, pity it ended as it did.

My last word on it David, Frank.

  • Verdun, my enjoyment of things strictly does not preclude my enjoyment of the beautiful game. One needs a little variety dear!

Verdun , is that why Chelsea won , all that extra leg and feet work image

  • You can play football in whatever you like. image I see a lot of "men" playing in mittens these days.

If you want to continue with the drama dahling then Craig RH is certainly an option worth considering!

  • Frank your input is always well reasoned and I do understand what you say. However, perhaps you could explain to the little-uns, that it isn't especially a dance competition as such, just a dance based entertainment show.......witness the extended stay of John Sergeant & Ann Widdecombe. image

David, to an eleven year old there is only black and white, they have not discovered fifty shades of grey.

    Frank.
