  • I loved Joe's dance too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him.......would love to see him win.

Agree Obelixx, such a shame Davood lost his balance, still thought he did really well though.

Not keen on AB, at all. She looks quite gangly at times.

Thought the costumes were much better this week.

  • Anyone else notice Claudias slip up.........When talking to the judges......she said it was Saturday......not Sundayimage

Oh, what a shame. I really didn't want him to go image

Wrong people in the dance-off but right one went of those two.

Why do people vote for Molly and the AJ oik?   She's thick and he's horrible.

Obelixx, if they are like me they vote for the feet not the personality. as a young dancer my mates often made fun of me, "why are you dancing with her" because she can dance and i want to learn, was the answer.

The judges got it right last night the public got it wrong, Gemma should have been in the dance off and Davood would still be in.

D.R. Gusset adverts what did I miss?

Mention was made on the results show about the number of hours Molly has put in.  I can't say I like her particularly, but nobody can doubt the commitment she has shown.  In the early series they did mention, at various stages of the series, how many hours training each contestant had put in.  Maybe that was seen as counterproductive with people voting for those who had done most rather than the best dancers, I don't know.

I didn't watch the first few weeks, I never have done, but from what I've seen as least one of the poorer dancers ends up in the dance off each week and tends to get voted off.  There was one exception to that a few weeks ago when Aston was voted off.

I don't think it's a bad thing for a 'better' dancer to be in the dance off as it stops them getting complacent.

Aston did a really bad dance the week he left.   Molly's rumba was far from perfect so, with an illegal lift too, no way it should have scored 9s.   She needs to put in all those hours if, after all that, she still can't get the rumba rhythm  It's not rocket science!  2,3, 4 hip, 2,3, 4 hip.  Easy.  Just the legs and feet - no heels - and arms to master after that and it should be languid, not mechanical like hers.

Claudia came right out with it I nearly fell off my chair, they spent 30 hours training but half of it kissing? Molly and Joe looked like fill in dancers at the start though they have crept up the outside passing the favourites and that is what it is about, Debby never ceases to amaze me I expected the ageists to have had her out before now as reading other boards only the young and nubile should be in Strictly. Aston did a bad dance badly choreographed and the public did not vote for him, who do you blame?

This year has not hit the spot with me apart from Debby the contenders were unknown to me (I know I am getting old), the music has been to put it politely crap, the Pro Dancers who I usually love to watch have all been on super octane fuel or something, they flew round the floor so fast I thought I was watching an F1 Race. Methinks it time to get Ye Olde Video's of Come Dancing back out, I need to see a Valeta, Slow Foxtrot, Military two step and Rumba Royal and some real dances by real people after all when did Acrobatics come into the dance genre.

    Frank.

  • A well danced slow foxtrot is a beautiful thing image

And if they want to dance fast what about a polka?
