Wrong result for me. I like Naga and I often watch her on Breakfast TV. She's not cold. DR how could you know anything about her when you admit you don't even watch her. She was near the bottom dance wise but was much better than Ed Balls. I find Anastacia full of herself, she gets on my nerves.

I'm not usually a fan of Naga and she's not a great dancer. But I thought she was slightly better than Anastasia who was being practically dragged round tonight by Brendan. Not a sexy rumba at all. So for me the wrong one went tonight.
Tonight on the dance Anastacia won, there was no doubt in my mind or the judges. Saying that I liked Naga, the public very obviously did not. To say Anastacia is full of herself well yes that is true but so are all of the Celebs or they would not be there. They have to have the belief they can do what they do during the day job thinking they are good or they would flop, they all come out sweet voiced we are family and do not like seeing any one go, they may even think it although each and every one has an eye on the glitter ball and what it can bring in spin off's. It is a show for the first few weeks then the Dance begins and the gloves come off.
Daytime TV? what is that?? I read the news on my I-pad and that is it, the TV goes on at tea time to watch Pointless then the news and most definitely goes off again when hemmerdale Street or what ever is on. I had to watch them when Joan was there although I would find jobs in the greenhouse summer and garage winter if possible. In hospital day time TV was the best sleeping pill ever, utter dross.
"Too driven" they are professionals at the top of their game, how can they be too driven, it is what they do and they have to climb a very high mountain to get up there with plenty behind to step into their shoes if they falter, too driven is the name of the game. They have to take so called Celebs usually well down the "C" list with ego's akin to Mount Etna always exploding who think it will be a doddle and a lift to their status and make them passable dancers in a few short weeks. Those of us who went to dance schools for years know this is not possible, you learn a dance and practice for months not hours until you have no need to think what comes next it is part of you. Len is right, in fact always right apart from the Jive on Saturday night that was not a ten, watch it back. He says they learn a dance, one dance, not perfect but passable and then move on, they could never come even close to what their professional partners are capable of, watch those dancers in the Pro dances miles higher up the scale. Some of the Celebs (so called, I had to look them up) have been hand fed and lifted into the limelight unlike stars like Lesley who came up the hard way, she did eight hours filming most days last week and then five hours training, her determination and craft showed, it may kill her but it will not stop her. Training someone from scratch is the hardest job, ask any Drill Sergeant, the patience of the Pro's must take some holding in at times, I take my hat off to them.
Hear! Hear! Frank - I totally agree with you The Pros really are professional, in every sense of the word.
Strictly is not a lot to do with teaching someone to dance, it's much more about teaching someone to perform. It's why so many 'celebs' want to do it - as well as raising their profiles it gives them transferable skills they can use to develop their careers, even if they never dance another paso doble again in their lives.

She was the second worst dancer as far as the judges were concerned and she was less popular with the public than Ed Balls. That must have been a shocker for her as she's practically a household name.
But if you're not much good at dancing, then to survive on Strictly in the early weeks you need a warm personality, she ain't got one
She wasn't as good as Anastasia in the dance-off.
I don't watch the programme she presents, it might be on when I'm searching for the news headlines on the red button, but for me she just goes through the motions, i.e. can read the auto-cue and follow the director's instructions, no warmth.
Compare her to Carol Kirkwood a previous contestant, whose job is just to present the weather forecast, who comes across as much more "viewer friendly."
There's a big difference between being a household name and being liked. Tony Blair was a household name! She does often come across as arrogant on Breakfast, in fact there was one occasion when she asked a question (thankfully of one of the reporters) and Charlie said that the reporter had just explained that. Her response "Oh, I wasn't listening" and a dismissive wave of the hand!
What difference does it make which university she went to. She has brains and is attractive and fit which all helps with the dancing but may be lacking a few people skills which doesn't matter on the dance floor.
I much preferred her Charleston performance to Anastasia's rumba but have no personal experience of Charleston - except as a line dance - so can't see why the judges preferred the rumba. Still, no real damage done as no serious contenders have gone yet.
I did enjoy Madness' performance too.

Good post from Frank about the professionals. They are so good at their chosen career of dancing and must have huge amounts of patience to teach people the way they do.

Lizzie, I agree watched Anastasia in an interview on some programme during the week. So up herself it's unbelievable. Don't like the woman at all.
She probably won't last much longer, but hopefully she goes before we loose someone who can actually dance.
According to the papers.......not always correct I know..........but Brendon doesn't like her either!

What is the matter with Oxbridge? My parents and my brothers went there. I didn't because I decided to go to London to train as a nurse.
