hydrangea 'Annabelle DEAD????

Hi
Emergency!!!!
Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this hydrangea 'Annabelle.
Its been in about 2 weeks in partial shade. Is on a slight slope, has been watered well. i have another in more shade that's fine. Its about 1m tall and cost me £18
Since going it has looked a bit sad but i thought it was just the replanting that upset it but now it looks like its on the way out...Please help.....

Heres another pic....
My hydrangea (not the same variety as yours) can look sad from time to time and all it wants is a good drink - and I mean a good drink - several watering cans at a time. It soon perks up. So try giving more water than you think it needs as a starter.
I'd immediately remove the flowers ( they suck up huge amounts of energy ) make sure it doesn't dry out , give it a good soak, and if you can , mulch with garden compost .
better to lose this season's flowers than to lose the plant eh?
I'm inclined to agree. A biggish shrub will often wilt a bit when planted out - no matter what type or what the conditions are. The roots are used to being comfy in their pot and it's a bit of a shock. It's also very near the ivy which will be taking a lot of moisture from the ground. It's hard to overwater Hydrangeas Rich
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Ok
Ill do that now. It rained all day yesterday though...but ill do it. I have tomato feed shall i use?? shall i get rid of all the dead leaves???
I defiantly soaked it but i didn't really look at it. The shop is good though so im sure they will have looked after it before. The hose is on it now.....shall i feed it with Tom food??
I'd just give it a soak and wait to see. If it's still peaky tomorrow, I really would sacrifice the flowers though.
