How do I get rid of Ivy from the rockery?

Hi, can anyone please give me a solution as to how I can get rid of ivy that is growing through my rockery, it is killing off the plants I wish to grow there and it is rooting all over the place, even in the lawn. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

The first option would be to dig it up, there are pesticides available but I don't know if it will affect your other plants or soil.
I have the same problem in one of my borders.
I think Dave means herbicides
Try pulling it away and whatever is left treat with Roundup Gel rubbed on the leaves-you might have to do it more than once and it will take up to 3 weeks to be effective-be patient but persistent
thanks Geoff, at least you know what I meant
I think you'll find that pesticide is a catch-all word that covers any specific treatments, such as insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc.
By the way, can you tell me how to stop my computer writing in this minuscule font?
Which appears to post as normal!
Tis a gremlin glitch Joe-will be fixed at some point-we are all in this together -except for the PM
The Prime Minister is on here
The PM sows seeds of doubt in my mind.
Works for me!
Oh, backto ivy...if digging everything out and getting rid of ivy roots manually isn't an option, then thingicides (Glyphosate the general choice) painted carefully onto growth should work...eventually.
