16.6C against the north-facing fence in the back garden at the moment - not bad considering ... image

I've just swapped my 4 tog summer duvet for the autumn one - OH and I have both been struggling with heavy colds for the last week - and the heating has clicked on twice since Saturday. Seriously thought about lighting the fire Sunday evening - north facing sitting room is cool at the best of times - it was cold on Sunday.

I have been really, really pleased with all the rain we've had, but we could do with some warmer temps now. Courgettes and tommies have romped away in the last month but I think this weather will really check them.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Its been raining her since Monday morning, and is still raining, non stop.

The garden, which is always wet and doesn't drain well at all is now very boggy and the hardcore laid for new path has sunk.

Not sure what I can plant in a garden which is clay base but always boggy.

Considering a container garden so at least plants won't drown

Forecast for Cumbrian Borders is continuous rain till Wed evening with temps dropping to 7, not a frost pocket but even more rain. Just what I need!!

North of the Tamar, that's me, just! Yikes it's hot and sunny out there now.

we're technically EAST of the Tamar, so no idea what to expect. It was a lovely 20C in polytunnel. I had to remove my overshirt.

I just want it to warm up again.

Did that leave you wearing just your thermal vest?
