thanks swisssue.. it took us a while to build that wall.. it took lot planning to get the design right... and we still managed to stretch the one oval shape.. it used to have a fence along the top of the brick wall.. but woke up one day to find it gone and thrown over the cliff.. so after being fed up with the constant damage we bricked it all up.. it was nightmare keeping all the dogs out that were on leads all te time.. but we want to take it down and re do all of it.. hopefully next year... so the fence posts can come out.
inbetween our wall and the bushes you see in bheind it is the coastal path.. then otehr side the bushes is the cliff edge!!!
Busy-Lizzie.. the back garden is the same side but is lawn for kids climbing frame.. greenhouses, and vegetable beds and drive with garage.. will add piccie of it when i can.. but not so gorgeous as the front..
just noticed my small circel bed with my agapanthus in in 2011.. and then the one took other day two years later.. thye have got huge.. maybe time to split them!
What is the matter with people nowadays that they want to destroy other people's property? You've done a great job gf. A lot of hard graft. It's very satisfying to finish that kind of construction. The path will be terrific too.
I wondered if you were right on the edge of 'something' as you can see nothing but sky beyond the wall and the railings!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
yes fairy girl it is wrong for people to do that.. but still i think lack of dicipline is the problem these days..
yes the blue you can see is the English Channel and bit of the sky.. hence why so windy here. whips up side of the cliff and straight over my garden.. thas why we hve had to enstall trellis as fencing or they blow down over winter.. as my new neighbours found out after htey put up 6ft panels.. did tell them..
it was satisfying.. and the path is still comin on. will put up more piccie when i can.. our harddrive went bang at weekend.. so have been busy trying to reinstall everything onto the new one.. and reclaim the lost data on the other one!!!!!
Dahlia "Pooh" has taken a long time to get going. Planted it spring 2012, only did about 2 flowers, but it survived the winter in the ground and this is it now.
Delphiniums are doing a final, if a bit feeble, burst before winter, their 3rd flowering.
Doctor Ruppel, the clematis I'd searched for after seeing LeadFarmer's one, had produced a last flower, it had already flowered. Bought it in Newhaven the day I met Bev, potty gardener, in the GC. So it will remind me of Bev.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Looking good, gf, love your brick wall!
You have a lovely front garden, gardeningfantic, big as well. What is the back like? Great path.

I've not been keeping up with the Gallery photos. I'm waiting and plan to look at them when the weather is horrible and I need cheering up.

Love the dahlia Lizzie, really cheer things up at this time of year. That clematis is a great way to be remembered
