  Found the page and it has thrown light onto the problem. I will now not worry. These plants were set last autum.

  Thank you Cathy, thought someone might enjoy the pictures also thank you for earlier reply, I will be potting on runners but I don't think I will use any from affected plants, just to be on safe side, glad pictures made someone smile.????
