Torture never works, a stoic will enjoy it and laugh, a coward will tell you anything to stop it, usually not the truth.
He will suffer hell in jail because the hard lads in there hate child molestation, they will probably have to lock him up 23 hours a day for his own safety although they will have to let him out sometime and God knows what they will do to his food.
He will suffer years of torture, will not get the mod-cons for a long while so will be stewing on his own thoughts and memories alone without the alcohol he once used.
That is hell on earth to normal people, the death penalty is too quick.

Online Porn should be banned, what sane person needs it and what kind of twisted mind would get any enjoyment out of watching the stuff. We talk about freedom to do as we wish although there is also the freedom of the people who suffer from the people who then go and enact their fantasy's.
Also when will social boards like face book and such clamp down on the people who trawl them for their own ends.
Some call it progress, yes progress into the pit more like it.

    Frank.

  • One of my tutors at college got 'poached' many years ago, to work on their anti-porn unit, it was his job to track down where someone was using their ISP address, and they would have a visit from the boys in blue.  They would also track down the providers of such filth, and they'd have the book thrown at them, although they'd be out in a few months and back to making the hardcore stuff.  They let the other inmates know what they'd been doing, and justice in it's most basic form is what they got once they were inside.  The prison officers would let it go on, and stop it short of Murder, so most of their time was spent in Hospital Prison.

Interestingly enough, they move staff on in this unit pretty regularly, especially once they have kids, as the porn involving children is the worst (and they get years for making that, rather than months if it's just adults that are the participants).  You are not allowed to work in the unit if you have kids under 16, as the temptation to go around with a shotgun has proved too much for some people in the past.

So there are people out there that are doing their best to stop this, but it's an awful job, and there are lots of safeguards to ensure the well being of the normal people who have to watch such awful things (psych evaluations, counselling etc), to make sure it doesn't impact the good guys too deeply.

America has the right idea for child molesters, either the chair, lethal injection, life meaning life, and chemical castration being some of the weapons in their arsenal.

I think that castration should be an option in the UK, for child molesters and violent rapists/murderers.  Even if they are released, they physically wouldn't be able to do anything.  And they should be fitted with a tracker for life, so you can keep a watch on them to make sure they don't try anything else.

One problem MMP is the freedom movement, you should never be stopped doing what you wish in the name of freedom no matter who it hurts.
They should be made to sit in on trials such as we have just seen and made to realise their fight for total freedom can do much harm.
I spent time as a Regimental Policeman as a young lad and we had plenty of prisoners, men called up for their two years who did not want to be in, they went AWOL and always got caught, we treated them in a proper manner until they brought in the rat who had raped one of our Naafi girls, he fell up and down the Guardroom steps daily (we had no steps), I refused to take part but did nothing to stop it, he was glad to leave for Colchester and I was one of the escort.
He did a runner on the station but I was faster he arrived at the prison in a bit of a state and got no sympathy there.
People make porn because there is money in it, if others did not buy the filth it would stop dead.

    Frank.

  • Crikey! I think we should all remember that it is possible to sink to the same level as the abuser! We must be humane or we reduce our own humanity to a bestial level.

I do think there is an argument for castrating sexual abusers of children. They will not change - the connections are in their brain for good. The only possible alternatives are lifelong imprisonment or permanent supervision in the community, by electronic and other means. Why should people have the right to retain their sexuality when they use it only for destroying children emotionally and psychologically?

  • If anything ever happened to either of mine, I'd wait for the bastard to be released from prison, nail him to a tree and use him for target practice.  It's amazing the damage that can be done with a carbon-fibre arrow - I've been told they shatter if they hit bone.  I've seen one unzip when another arrow hit the knock.  That was very nasty and required rigger gloves to remove from the boss (target).

I have been told that I'm neither left-brain or right-brain dominant (which is fairly rare), in tests I've come out 49% left-brain and 51% right-brain.  I forget which is which, but one is meant to be female and creative, the other male and logical.  I'm often told that I'm odd (mostly in a good way).  That might explain why I can get quite aggressive if I think my kids are in danger, can throw a punch like a bloke (the trick is not to aim for the nose, but the back of the skull), will happily change the wheel bearings on my car (under supervision), but still like handbags and sparkly stuff.

I wonder if the powers that be are allowed to use sodium pentathol (or whatever the name for the 'truth drug' is), or if it's been banned by the tree hugging hippies in the name of peace and love.  That's why I like dogs, I get them, they have few needs and drivers.  People puzzle the bejaysus out of me.

gardenfantic-men always think they can decorate etc better than women.....we'll just let them go on thinking that eh?!!!

I understand the reaction to some of the horrific cases we've discussed here - but I have to say- I'm with Ghandi in that 'an eye for an eye makes us all blind'. I genuinely hope if anyone harmed my children I would have the dignity the Lawrence family showed every time they appeared in the media after the dreadful death of their son.

As I think I've already said  recently - for all the human race has done and achieved - we really haven't come very far at all have we.

Our 'intelligence' is sometimes used in all the wrong ways.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

MMP an old Yorkshire saying is "theer's nowt queerer than folk" very true, if we were all the same it would be a boring world.
I am one up on you and your trusty Bow, I could hit a target at 1000 yards with my trusty weapon, titivated of course and hand filled rounds so do not come after me.
That is unless you want help with ancient Land Rovers, we had a lot of bother with them in Cyprus and Germany, most of those were left handers and for some reason did not work as well as the rightees. We would often tilt them to work on the bottom, prop shaft changes etc, we got a few of those with the rough time we gave them.

Rant today, I have had six differing bits of paper and leaflet pushed through the door which went straight into the paper waste bag next to the door, then I took another six bits of booklet and paper from my morning paper, I could fill that waste bag in a morning. I think we get them all because we are slightly upmarket area, neat lawns and long drives attract them like bees to nectar.
I am getting a notice printed for the gate. I do not order food to be delivered I cook it, I do not need a new drive it has been there 30 years and never moved or had weeds, I do not need plastic windows doors gutters, I had them put in by the best. I do not need a new boiler because I am the old boiler around here and ready to blow my safety valve.

    Frank.

  • Intelligence?  Eh?  Won't find much of that in my head!

I have a new rant.  Corned Beef tins.  To get Max to take his tablets (say that very quietly, he knows what it means), I have to coat them liberally in corned beef, then it doesn't even touch the sides, and I run the risk of losing fingers up to the second joint.

Whoever invented the tins it comes in needs a good spanking, firstly, you're lucky if the key is still attached to the tin, then you need to take the paper off the tin (or else that fights you too), and once you've opened the tin, you are left with the key attached to one side, and two incredibly sharp bits of tin.  The same goes for tins of shaped ham and cod roes.

Between the tins and the dog, it will be a minor miracle if I still have ten fingers by this time next week.
