hey guys, sorry, it seems some of you got " offended" by my use of insecticide.

I love nature and try to promote bees by planting lavender etc but when it comes to wholesale attack on my rose climber just 3rs old, I could not tolerate it.

I had quite a struggle to get any decent plant get going in that part of garden anyhow. This is the second rose which went in to that slot. AND I never saw them either. have seen some bees on roses but never once on the leaves!

having heard your advice now I will try to save these bees.

I also was wondering why only this rose compared to our other roses. I have noticed similar thing happened to the poor clematis which is struggling for last few years in vain.

I think these leaf cutters only attack either  soft or smooth leaved plants. other roses have thicker heavier leaves, that may be a reason or perhaps taste?

    anyway thank you guys!
