Yes, she's a toy poodle, only weighs in at 4kg on a good day.  When we got her 6 years ago, we took her to our vet for a checkup and he recommended removal of all her top teeth because they were in such a bad way (as well as hysterectomy).  The previous owners had a breeding kennel and wanted to put her down because she wasn't earning her keep by producing pups for them. They apparently fed all their dogs on minced meat!  she only weighed 2kg when we got her.

My late daughter who lived near that town rescued her and brought her down to us - a distance of about 900km.  We are happy to have her.

i haven't heard of the Rose Twice in a blue moon.  Are you happy with it?

I can't remember if Julia's rose is scented, but it is a really beautiful rose. There's  nothing to see at the moment, being the middle of winter.

Pat E, when we had our last puppy the breeder fed her dogs on raw meat, fruit, veg and herbs. She said if it was cooked all the nutrients are destroyed so it's best raw.So we fed our puppy on that, and he's doing great. We got it from a company called wolf tucker, they send it frozen in 500g packs.I know your poodle is old but

    she will like it.image

Thanks Logan. It wouldn't work for me because I'm in Australia.  Good idea though And glad your puppy is thriving on it.  I might talk to my local pet shop. Our dog goes there 6 weekly for grooming , so they know her well.

Have we sorted out the Rose colour change problem?  I'm quite interested in the final decision.

Nanny beach, I'm having problems with you messages - probably my ineptitude, but I'll keep at it.

Not to worry Pat E, My dog as a puppy was weaned on raw mince, but it had to be frozen for 3 days (to get rid of some harmfull enzyme) then thawed thoroughly. My Vet said to make sure they have veg, he gets leftovers, but dogs must not have grapes, onions, sultanas, currents.

Thanks Nanny B. The trouble now, is that the Tour has started on TV and my other half, the one with computer experience is rather preoccupiend.  10.50pm, so another 2am bed time, I guess.
