When I walk round the garden I repeat the names of the flowers to myself. It helps to remind me. I do manage though to get all my p's mixed up - polygonatum, persicararia, pulmonaria etc.!!

I often forget the names. I've always done it though!
There's certain ones I'm just constantly forgetting. I struggle to hang on to the names for more than a few weeks. I've often woken up and written down a plant name because it's suddenly come into my head.
There's one now that's bugging the heck out of me. Yet last time I was here someone asked what it was and I told them straight away. I may have to go out and take a photo ...... grrrr
Thanks Nut, for coming up trumps again. Anemanthele lessioniana has been said outloud, typed out, written down and committed to whatever grey matter of a memory I have left!
I had an interview for a job at a nursery and garden centre recently and couldn't remember the name of what the manager described as the ' most popular plant that everybody knows the name of', except that at that very moment I didn't! It was a hydrangea! Any other day......
anyway I got the job!
i now photograph everything I plant, and put them on Pinterest. Then I add the name and details. I prefer this to plant labels.
