Thorns stuck in fingers

  • If you use mag sulph paste....slather on liberally and cover with a dressing...repeat every couple of days. This helps draw out spines...also immerse  hands in as warm a water as poss first before applying the paste and dressing. Hope this helps.

    I doubt very much that there will still be spines in her hand after a year. It sounds more like a learned behaviour problem.

  • I have a small piece of graphite (pencil lead) embedded in the palm of my hand. It doesn't, nor has it ever, bothered me but, it's still faintly visible. I got it stuck in there when I was six years old and I'm fifty one now. So, spines in your Aunt's fingers after a year could well be feasible. Sorry I can't offer a solution and I hope you/She find one soon.
