hope they raked it off, if its a perennial meadow it should come back ok next year, they may even get a later flush of flowers this year in late August.
the year before the same council strimmed a whole load or northern marsh orchids on a nature reserve near the car park, their excuse when I asked them what they were doing? - they did it so they could litter pick the edge of the car park more easily!!
I had to walk away before I said something (or did something) that would get me locked up!!

In our council there've been numerous cuts (as everywhere) and the head Gardner cut down to the ground all the beautiful landscaping bounding a new road, because he couldn't keep it litter free As his budget had been cut !!! So now, we have weeds and litter abundant
