When should Echinops surface?

    Theres two there.  There are more though, as they are bee magnets I have a few more. They look gorgeous I just love them.

    Ah sounds like that is the cause. Can I just dig em up and soak them until shoots appear? Sorry am new to this image

    Do you live in an area that has low rainfall, because I think from Spring till now we must have had enough rain. Did you protect them from slugs? They will eat the new shoots, I don't think they will do anything now, dead I reckon, but do dig them up and see if there are any roots left there. If so I would pot them and see how they go, but don't get your hopes up.

    Why not buy some seeds, sow now, then over winter in pots in greenhouse or shed near a window or cold bedroom, then you can plant out next Spring after frosts have finished. You will get some flowers that summer.

    Hmm yes reckon they were possibly naff roots. Thanks for the advice!
