As I understand you have worked on these problems? The links I have looked at are terrible to think that as organic Gardner not just myself but hundreds if not thousands of allotment owners are suffering from this disease.
So from what I read if you leave this manure for three years it will be OK? As the bacteria will have been destroyed? What about the ground where its contaminated as I use a three year cycle for my crops will it be best to leave the areas effected for longer like potatoes?
Thank you all again for your information about this terrible contamination, I have set the ball rolling with the stables and they are upset as they have a large plot where they have spread the same stuff for their veg, the supplier only stores the hay and is bought in from elsewhere which they are now chasing up as two of the horses this year have not been well and wondered if the hay had anything to do with their sickness??
On our situation have today stripped out the greenhouses bought new compost and managed to get more tom plants from our neighbors and fingers crossed get something out of our growing season. As for the potatoes looks like I will be buying them in this year!!
